Adrianmsmith After the show, Paolos sister came down with it…she was of for a long time, I came down with it a few days after I got back to the UK and was bad for 2 weeks, maria came down with it, others in the factory also came down with it.
They are a very small business and of course illness impacts on everything as they try and meet timescales for delivery, build machines, deal with questions, assist customers with issues. It was why I offered to hold some warranty spares here many months ago and post them out to UK customers to help them out and their customers out. I don’t get paid for this (I make this statement because of Londinium comments), in fact I often don’t get the postage reimbursed (and supply my own packaging)….I do it so UK people don’t have a very long wait to get a part and keep costs down.
Maria is very committed to the ACS customers, she drives almost an hour each way to get to work at 8:00 am and often leaves after 6:30 pm at night, it’s a very long day for her. Paolo himself and his sister are often in the factory from 8:00 am to 8pm, so it’s a long day for them as well….I know because I myself have been there for those long days!
However, I do think if the website was being maintained, they would mention illness and downtime on there, so people are aware it may take longer than usual to get a reply. I realise it’s even more time to maintain the website, but I feel they would save time in the long run.
