Without being able to touch it the leak (s) seem to be from the plugs. The white stuff could be galvanic reaction due to the leak.

Plugs may need resealing….

Ive only used RO water as has David before I received from him.

Regarding water, the water looking marks seem to be oil/grease marks and aren’t removable so thinking that’s from manufacturing.

When boiler is heating the drips start from the screw. I held a torch under and thats definitely where it’s coming from.

Will pop it all away over festive and have a proper poke about.

Jason1wood - as for the white mark. If it’s calcium/limescale, then the RO system may not be working as effective as you think. Worthwhile investigating. Or it might be you are remineralising it with some calcium solution, and that is causing the scale?

It looks to me as if there is an’O’ ring at the perimeter. Remove the plug (correct size /type) alen key thoroughly clean and use PTFE should be fine.

Hi there, I have a knocking noise when the lever is going up, I had it apart and cleaned, and re greased, but it still there.

You can hear it more to the end of the video, ideas are appreciated, thanks in advance.

The noise 99% is the spring that turn a bit during expansion and of course compression. Probably the teflon washer used to reduce the noise has gone. In any case contact us at +390815552428 so we can arrange eventually a video call in order to sort out the problem. In any case you can use the machine without any problem.

Assume you used a smear of Molykote 111 on the spring bottom , cylinder wall and all piston seals when reassembling and ensured the cylinder had no coffee stuck on . Mine tends to need some moly every 8 (?) months or so.

Hi all, just to be sure. I want to lubricate the steam and water toggle since the steam one sometimes keeps sticking. I bought the knipex pliers and got some molykote. Is it just as simple as unscrewing the front part and smearing some grease on the moving parts?

It depends what has gone stiff. If its the valve seat then you need to remove the valve body as well as the front as the front only gives access to the joystick and the plunger that presses on the valve to open it.

It will certainly help to lube what you gain access to but you may need to go deeper.

In all cases be very careful not to move the nut that sits up to the machine body or you will disturb the pipework inside the machine and you do not want to do that.

Remember do not let that back nut head of the fitting move,!!
