I thought it’s about time we correct this and make this a place for some of the best tea sellers for various type of loose tea bags. We have been mostly buying from stores and loose tea leaves from Whittard and some of the folks listed here. LMSC At the moment im finding M&S own essentials tea, £1 ish per box is better than most boxed stuff like tiefoo and pgrips.

Not been drinking anything fancy at the moment…perhaps i should start looking again. Especially getting back into loose tea.

LMSC we get our tea from Teapigs, my wife has the earl grey. I have the every day brew.

DavecUK Whittard’s leaf tea bags are generally good. We always liked their Earl Grey. Their Spice Imperial is decent and so are the Red Bush Spices tea bag (Asian stores) and Sleep — spiced apple with Camomile and passion flowers tea bag (Twinning).

However, the loose tea leaves are definitely our preferred choice.

We have a local tea merchant who have been around for years in Newcastle.

We drink their decaf, not for any reason other than it is really tasty!

LMSC we both enjoy the tea and find ourselves not enjoying Tea which we used to drink. They do a variety of teas including fruit flavours, the wife is more partial to these. We also like the the fact that the packaging is environmentally friendly. Forgot to add, the tea that comes is actually pieces of tea leaf and not powder as you get with other suppliers.

Pekoe tea in Edinburgh is one I can definitely recommend, they have a great selection of blends and earl greys which are well priced and more premium teas including some very rare teas including Scottish grown tea which ends up costing about £4 per cup
