I was chatting to our host last night, and it got me wondering. @DavecUK is currently with Paolo of ACS attending a Trade Show, aimed at professionals. I asked Dave how well known ACS were within Italy and he said not well at all. ACS are an artisan company employing about 6 people. They make machines by hand. Which got me thinking. How many other comparable Italian coffee machine manufacturers are there. There is little information on the company structure that I can find. I thought that by asking the members, we could compile for fun, a little data base of small coffee machine manufacturers from around the world. I will kick this off with Bosco. No apologies for cutting and pasting from their website.
Bosco
Based in Naples since 1960. The flexibility of Bosco’s handcrafted approach has enabled a variety of special projects to be created over the years, including an imposing six group lever machine, the only one of its kind, which was installed in the largest hospital in the south of Italy in 1989. They seem to have 2 main ranges. The Posillipo and Sorrento lever machines which are both handcrafted and come in a variety of sizes from 1 to 5 group configuration.
I have owned a Bosco Sorrento 1 group briefly and ownership values are immense.
