Hypochlorite spray bottle

I purchased a Chinese one from Amazon a few months back for cleaning the osmio and espresso machine water tanks. How long does the sodium hypochlorite solution ‘stay good’? I haven’t the time atm to trial it but noticed that it was just water a few times after I’d left it sitting for, I dunno maybe a week or so. Paranoid it wasn’t generating it at all I quickly made some and tested with the test strips but it’s working and generating it ok. So just wondering if anyone has the knowledge to hand?!

JahLaza 2 to 3 days, after which it looses a lot of strength, I make mine fresh from salt, or you can buy Milton tablets/liquid.

Spraying a light mist onto surfaces is the best method e.g espresso machin tanks. I spray, leave 15 to 20 min tip out excess, quick rinse and I’m done.

DavecUK thanks Dave, I knew you had one, I use it just as you mention there, it gets used all round the house now too. I only use Milton tablets to sanitise the osmio every 6 months or so, I just find that hypochlorite spray a good method to clean the other water reservoirs as mentioned. It’s only a gram of salt or something each time so it’s no hassle making a fresh bottle whenever needed

JahLaza I think it’s 15 or so and for the larger model 35 or something…for me it’s just the sheer convenience knowing I can make it whenever I want. Especially as all my Milton tab packages swelled up and went funny in the kitchen draw.
