Adrian,
These are our second and third Pietro grinders. On January 5 a fire two floors above us, lead to extreme flooding as the fire department fought it. Aside from our kitchen almost everything else was destroyed. In the kitchen just our heavily modified (including some bespoke parts) La Pavoni Professional, all seven of our hand grinders, our office gear, our kitchen table, and some other kitchenwares that are fortunately replaceable.
Our apartment had to be gutted back to the bricks and structural beams, and it may well be Autumn before we can return.
Once we were settled in a long-term rental, we gave some thoughts for immediate needs. We have our Robot and Aeropress with us so grinders were required. We immediately ordered another Pietro with ProBrew burrs, and after some consideration also the Helor 106. for traditional-style espresso with dark and medium roasts. A few weeks after receiving the Pietro, I realized I had been a dolt, and ordered a second with espresso burrs, these for lighter roasts and contemporary-style espresso.
Both came with the funnel and stand accessories; neither of which I use. I find them entirely unnecessary and clunky.
I only mention this because while I do not have a YouTube channel, I have now purchased happily, three of these Pietro grinders, and am very grateful for the two in my possession. You may or may not decide to treat yourself to one, however if not, do not let the reason be some YouTube ponce’s opinion.
