Rancilio Silvia V2/3 boiler. Used.
If you have read my restoration thread here on the V3 Silvia recently you will see that this boiler came from a machine that was sold as spares or repairs which turned out to be faulty due to a leaking boiler seal. This boiler has a working element. Price is £45 plus £3.50 postage plus your old non working boiler. You can pick it up here near Oswestry if you are local. The usual fix for a blown element is to replace the boiler, which is about £150 for the boiler with element, so this represents a considerable saving.
I am thinking of offering a part exchange service to exchange old boilers with a boiler machined to take a replaceable element so I would like an old boiler to replace this one.
The boiler may need a little clean up, and as I can’t be certain of its condition if it fails within a month I’ll refund or machine it to take a replaceable element, (I even have a spare element here so we may do a deal).
