LMSC Thanks, I’m not particularly worried about brew efficiency, you can exceed 22% with a Porlex & V60, with the more soluble coffees, my average EY accross drip brews is 20%…significantly higher than this does not seem to be desirable. But I think we’re talking at crossed purposes.
What I am principally asking, obviously somewhat clumsily, is:
If I know nothing about brewing drip, will this device have me covered with effective preset programs?
I appreciate the quality of parts/construction/sturdiness/grind quality, the ability to tweak all parameters is interesting (when you already know what you are doing), but other than having the ability to grind, why would I go for this over Moccamaster/OXO/Bonavita drip brewers and a stand alone grinder?
I’m not doubting it does what it claims, just looking for clarification on input required & target markets.
