Amicum team Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales with Company Number 10328461

thanks for update, I had heard that the Continental suppliers prove to be a challenge if a machine needs warranty work or return.

Our head office is located in Lithuania, but we have offices in various countries. The items are shipped from our European warehouses.

Yea just seen that too, I wonder how they deal with repairs if needed. I also went with bella barista when i purchased my Elizabeth, around that time some people were buying from an Italian company based in Italy (Lamacchinadelcaffe, reputable and sells all sorts of parts also) was also 200-300 pounds cheaper. Its really about luck sometimes. When you dont have funds and want sth desperately, you might gamble :)

I purchased my first machine from them back in 2020 (it was a Sage Barista Pro and they were a lot cheaper than anywhere else at the time). I got cold feet when I asked for opinions on whether anyone had experiences from them on CFUK and was advised it was better not to risk it. I took the advice and cancelled my order. They refunded me no questions - I can’t say anything about them other than that.

I guess there are companies where you know you will be OK, some that definitely give problems (a well known Italian reseller) and the unknowns. Always best to ask. On a big purchase, a few pounds saved may not be so important.

I remembered the name of that Italian company, Lamacchinadelcaffe

Now Elizabeth is more expensive even in there.

there was coffee italia too who stung a mate of mine :(

Cuprajake Coffee italia all i read were negative feedbacks and problems.

Lamacchinadelcaffe i havent read anything negative about them, all happy customers.

Not all sellers are bad. I got my old Expobar DB from a seller in the Netherlands. There was a small problem and he was communicating quickly with me via email, would have taken a return if I couldn’t fix it myself. Was only a little leak on a solenoid that needed a bit of a tap to tighten it. Bear in mind a machine can be severely damaged in shipping even if it is put on a pallet. No idea what the situation is post brexit but it used to be it wouldn’t cost a whole lot more to ship something to Europe vs domestic so if you’re not going to drive a machine back to a retailer yourself the thought of having to ship it to Europe instead shouldn’t be too much of an issue…..but as I said, that was before Brexit. I’ve see the UK lumped in with “rest of the world” for shipping costs from some online stores I used to buy from.

    Hi everyone,

I’ve still not replaced our old Gaggia Classic, ‘things’ intervened. Anyway I’ve been looking for a small (no higher than 38cm high owing to kitchen cupboard height) machine. I like the look of the Go, a PID would be good plus easy to adjust the brew pressure. We don’t do much milk steaming so that’s not a bother.

We’ve also got hard water, so I’m thinking I’ll start from new and use bottled water in it.

Does anyone have a view, did you buy one @Foxy2 ?
