SOLVED: There are three solenoids on the Lelit Elizabeth: two to the left of the grouphead boiler and one right behind it. There should be a white wire leading to the positive (the one on the back) and a pair of white/blue wires stuck together on the negative. Make sure THAT is connected!
tl;dr No water from month old Lelit Elizabeth grouphead. Water is leaving the OPV valve and returning to the tank, I’ve cleaned the showerscreen, primed the pump, checked the connections on the solenoid valve, and reseated the spring portion of the solenoid valve (no clue what it’s called). Thoughts?
I bought this new about a month ago from 1st Line. When I got it there was hissing, but it was my first DB espresso machine so I just kind of assumed there’d be hissing from the steam. When I learned that this wasn’t the case, I opened it to find a cracked T fitting on the boiler. contacted 1st Line and they sent one right out. I replaced the T fitting, but when I got everything plugged back in I started getting Error Code 3. After priming the pump, I stopped getting that. Water came out of the hot water spout and the steam wand.
But suddenly there was no water coming out of the grouphead. I’ve done everything I can think of, including reseating the solenoid valve wires and trying to clean the little spring loaded section out (though I have only one this on the one closest to the boiler, as I can only imagine that’s the one controlling the grouphead).
I’ve tried emailing 1st Line back but I haven’t heard anything from them after they sent an email telling me to check the connections. Any ideas?
