Well, not to go off topic, I opened a tin of the Illy. Now, when I first got into coffee I had a Gaggia Classic with no grinder, and thought traditional red tins of Illy was the bees knees! I then bought a £40 Starbucks burr grinder! And continued my affair wtith red Illy. Then I started to read and learn and have not had any in many a year. Apparently this is a new offering from Illy. I opened a can, chucked them into the Niche. First attempt choked. Looked at the beans. Nice colour and smell but quite light (denseness) so I opened it out a bit more at which my wife informed me to shut up as she was watching Shawn the Sheep. Second attempt was slightly too tight as well. Nonetheless, I made an American and it sits next to me.
OK, the suspense is killing me. About to have my first sip of a slightly over extracted drink …….the notes say……illy Etiopia Arabica Coffee Selection features a delicate and aromatic aroma with gentle notes of jasmine. This delicate intensity will calm the senses and give you time to truly unwind
I will dial her in properly with the next shot, but I suspect this is one for the milk drinks, though it is quite delicate in notes so who knows…..5 cans to go
