I bought it to have it as the second machine but that turned out to be too much for me to handle: dialing in shots is quite different from my other (58 mm) machine and that require more time, more beans and space in the kitchen. It can't replace my other machine as that is a project I am working on. It goes for sale at the same price, I am based in London.

More space, yes. You just need to give it a little more time. The rest is straightforward like your other. In fact, the Evo is more forgiving than any other machines. You may struggle to dose 14g and get a pour on the double basket (14g-18g) elsewhere. However, you can get a good pour on your first dial with the Evo with its’ basket size and 10+ bar pressures. I dose 14g for my wife and 16.6-17g for self. I seldom dose 18g. This is from some one who never used anything more than several £100-£200 until getting the Evo 2 years ago. There are no faffs with the temp settings. I keep 89C/95C for dark, 90C/96C for medium dark, 90-91C/96C-97C for medium and 91.5-92C / 97.5-98C for

@"LMSC"#p40790 - maybe I’m reading this wrong, but my understanding from the OP is that having two different machines will require more time and more beans in order to have each one dialled in in properly. In other words, dialling in one doesn’t mean dialling in the other, as they require rather different grind settings.

Indeed, having two machines is the difficult thing for me not the leva itself.

Selling so quick after getting it will not give a good impression for buyers, The first thing I'd ask is why sell so quick If you have buyers remorse fair do, What's your other machine? Are you struggling with the 54mm, I did when I moved from 58 to 54, personally grind size wasn't massively different. Esp if you keep a regular bean I would say give it more time if you can, you got a bargain, So much so I feel the price you paid kinda messed the used market for the rest of us with evos should we wish to sell 👍

The other machine is a project, pressure profiling electronics and software. It’s not a build of an existing project like Gaggiuino, it’s my own design from scratch and thus, it was quite a journey so far. It still needs testing and improvements, and splitting my time in between making coffee on this machine, working in the project and making coffee on the leva becomes challenging.
