Well just a quick review of my (replacement) Niche Duo. After nearly a month of having it, I must say this grinder is fantastic. The workflow and coffee from it is great. Superb tasting coffee (as long as you put the right beans in it)
No RDT. I use a little Breville blind rubber disc as a bellows and then also tap the dosing cup against the chute to get any residual coffee out. That’s probably the only downside as it doesn’t have the plasma generator like the newer grinders have.
But in the end having a nice big 83mm flat burr grinder that looks good and easy to dial in and work with. Am very happy with my purchase.
In comparison to my old Niche Zero I used to have. The Duo to me is a much better grinder. With the Zero it was inconsistent as sometimes I would get great tasting coffee then other times very astringent coffee.
With the Duo, the build quality is great (although not a big fan of the plastic lid) but it’s all good. Highly recommended. 👍. The only issues I had with my original Duo was the bottom burr screw kept getting loose so double check that you don’t have that problem.
