Cuprajake Hey all So our hoover washer dryer has gone on the blink 18months old, 10yr warranty but the call out and fixed labour is £220 The appliance only cost £350!!! Were thinking of adding a condenser dry elsewhere. Are they any good? Cheers Jake
DavecUK Cuprajake Not compared to a Heat pump drier. Ideal moment to get one. I assume the drier is located indoors? https://www.aeg.co.uk/laundry/laundry/tumble-dryers/heat-pump-dryer/tr718l4b/ This is direct from AEG, stonking drier, similar to my John Lewis one which is a rebadged AEG The Bosch one is very good value at £449 https://wellingtonshomeelectrical.co.uk/bosch-wtw85231gb-100061610.html

Ernie1 We air dry now but we’ve had condenser dryers before. I can’t speak for all of them but the ones we’ve had have been total crap. Instead of wet clothes, you just get warm damp ones.
LMSC That Heat Pump AEG deal is a great buy with a discount. The entry level is priced between £900 and £1100 depending on the brand. Integrated dryer is never good. All clothes come completely crumbled - our previous experience and my daughter’s. She only washer in her rented flat.
mobius Saw this thread and wondered if we should change our dryer of 8 years for a Heatpump one… turns out that’s what we already have 😆
DavecUK mobius Clearly longevity doesn’t seem to be an issue, I think @LMSC made a similar discovery.
