Just got an email about this. Very interesting. Obviously a pretty significant panel on the front but makes it look like the commercial Linea.

There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of info about it, I’m curious how it works. I’ve always said I’d love true auto-volumetric functionality for my Linea Mini having not really liked the various app/scale pairing auto-stop efforts.

I know people are probably thinking ’why don’t you just press stop…' but I love doing other stuff while the machine is running - steaming milk, grinding the next shot etc etc so having AV functionality would be nice.

Not sure if it works with the original Linea Mini either which might be a deal breaker. Still, very intriguing!

I also noticed that you can buy the firmware (100 euros?) for the lunar scale if you wanted to add the weight / stop functionality to your LM (assuming you have the right model) - rather than the luducrious price they were charging for the LM Lunar.

All quiet for me - the Super Jolly is still a joy - just churns through bag after bag. TBH I have hardly used the hand grinders either.. which is a bit of a waste :)

The LM Micra just carries on working.. Now I have been checking the various items but have not seen the need to replace the screen etc - I use one of the replacements which don’t have a mesh but have the cut holes (the model escapes me) - and the gasket is still fine (though I have a spare). So other than flushing and cleaning the water reservoir it’s a nice care free experience. I think changing the filters in the Osmium will be the next task !

There isn’t a massive amount of maintenance required in a home use environment, most parts are much longer lasting. Checking for leaks internally can also be good preventative maintenance.
I will be taking a Micra apart tomorrow so I will see if I can see any obvious other things to look at

I think other than maybe trying different varieties of coffee (yes I am that traditional darker give me bold coffee lover) I still think consistency in frothing milk is a skill I am still no 100% on - somedays its perfect - others I have clearly done something wrong.. any latte art skills are pot luck.

Maybe time to remind myself how to do the basic patterns and get some more practice in :)

Hope everyone is well - this thread is very quiet but I guess LM gear on the whole just works and does not have the tech features of other machines!
