It looks far easier to press theirs, and the reading is only 10, if that was 10kg then it’s 22lbs, if it’s already lbs then it’s obviously 10lbs :) my scales read about 35lbs I think it was for the 15lbs spring. I guess it depends how full the basket is as well because of how the baffle works, a totally full basket will mean the baffle isn’t even sitting on the basket initially, whereas a fairly empty basket will mean the baffle will touch the basket before the tamper touches the coffee grounds, so it’s all a bit rough anyway. That said, our coffee shelter had a totally full basket, whereas mine was not at all full - 18g in an 18g VST basket means that if you just rest the tamper on the basket the baffle does indeed touch the basket with no pressure applied at all, so if anything my tamp should have been easier than theirs, not harder.
Yeh I tried squeezing the springs, the 15lbs one you can compress, the 25lbs one is pretty hard and forget about it with the 30lbs.
