Hey all

Decided that while roasting is fun, I’m not getting the time to do it justice, and the way life is atm, it’s just easier to buy stuff

The roaster comes box, I’ve got a cooling tray and around 1.5kg of various beans.

It stands me a little more than £300

So I’d like £300 for it.

Picked up atm ideally Rochdale/bacup

A shame to see you sell it mate…the visual results looked good, especially with your later roasts. Did you find the results in the cup not on par with the established roasters or anything else? I will admit it does take some trial and error but ultimately extremely rewarding when you “nail” a roast. I got that feeling with a recent Colombian I roasted a few weeks back on the Cormorant (one of the reasons I cannot wait to get it back). Came out lovely after a weeks rest and it’s all I have been drinking the last week. Not super complex or anything…just a nice, fruity, enjoyable cup with great balance. Not trying to put you off your sale or anyting (it’s a bargain) but just throwing it out there to give it a bit more time…I was only starting to get happy with my roasts after a good few months.

I enjoy using it and the fermented bean I’ve bean 🤣 really happy with but for my use case I’m finding it a bit tying

I probably go through 200g a week. Which mean buying 1kg bags I will soon have a large stock haha.

I’m just thinking cherry picking roasters is better suited to my situation

@Bagpu55 - A bit of a cheeky question…..but are you still using the R1 as I’m keen to try one and if you were looking at moving it on, it would be good to speak to you…. Thanks Paul

phb1969 Hello and yes Im still going with it, great little roaster, still a learning curve but I drink all I roast and had worse beans that Ive bought at times. By no means mastered it at all yet.
