What's your grinder
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Kafatek grinders. I thoroughly enjoy my MC5.
cyclezib I think very few of us on this forum have had the chance to try one matey. As long as you as an owner enjoy your experience then that is the only thing that matters. The chit chat seems to step up a gear when a few owners of any kit start things off. I hope you are not ,lonely too long and someone joins you!
Grinders like kafatek, Weber eg1, p100, ek43, versalab are all very high end cost wise and as such very few do own them.
Then add that some of these are made in very small numbers you can understand why there are so few, and then those that do own them don’t often frequent forums.

My first grinder was a Brasilia RR55OD it was a behemoth of a grinder with flat burrs and a bad static attitude, but I sold it to fund my Niche. Whether some would see that as a downgrade grind quality wise I don’t know, but letting it go gave me the space once I also replaced my old Gaggia for the Sage dual boiler.
I also had one, amongst many other grinders. They were the original in their field. When the static was sorted out produced a really good grind. I kept it for years. Then on CFUK I offered to lend it to a local chap who was without a grinder. We kept in touch, then when he offered to return it another local chap whose name I cannot remember now asked if he could borrow it. I agreed and he offered to collect it from the other chap. I agreed and all was well. We kept in touch by pm, then of course I was one of many who was banned by the sole cfuk forum mod, purely as an act of self interest by someone unsure how to wield the new mighty power he had as opposed to using wisdom.
With that the grinder vanished into the night never to be seen again! If ever I can remember more details I will gladly name and shame him here, just on the off chance!

ECM V-TITAN 64, but I am waiting on a Kafatek Monolith MC5 this December. The ECM grinder has been somewhat of a disappointment.
I got a deposit in for a monolith max but a couple of months later came to realise my budget couldn’t accommodate it especially since they raised the price for the Max 2 so I had to sell it off. It sold very quickly though so there’s a lot of demand for a kafatek. I also dropped out of the ks campaign for the timemore 78s so I’m remaining with my two df64 grinders for now till i see something that really does represent a significant enough step up that I can justify financially to the Home Finance Minister…:)
Very happy with the AllGround.. first ever electric (and its a hopper) but it’s easy to dial in and consistent.. plus very little mess or retention which is a bonus.

When I first received a Niche Zero at the Indiegogo launch, it sat next to my Mythos and I used to look at it with affection, but not much else. My coffee habit at the time when I was working, was I often needed to make multiple shots and so the workflow of the Mythos was ideal. I then moved to a bungalow with an open plan kitchen/lounge. This had the particular disadvantage that my wife could now see what I got up to! The Niche stayed where it was but then lockdown and retirement came along, and all of a sudden the Niche came into its own and has stayed in prime position ever since. The Mythos was sold, then the Duo came along. As I am trying to get more into brewed coffee, the Duo lets me swop out burrs very quickly and is not a difficult task. I feel lucky to have the best of both worlds.
dfk41 Which shows there is a best grinder for everyone…..fortunately one size doesn’t fit all!
I have a Niche Zero which took over from an Mk1 Feldgrind (now used as a spare in case the zero fails) and I also have an Aergrind which I use for travel
