Well, I feel so much better. I just deleted my FB account. I have always hated FB and only joined it when I was in hospital for 10 days following a cardiac arrest 4 years ago. The novelty of looking up people who you have not seen for 40 years, and quite frankly on the whole have been quite glad not to see them soon wore off.
I placed an advert on Marketplace and without understanding what I was doing signed up for 3 days with Meta. After three days I saw a Paypal entry for £2.04 and thought what was that. When I looked into it, they were charging me 4p I think, for every time someone viewed the ad, not responded to it! So, I cancelled the agreement. I then received a system message telling me my ad had been reviewed and it contravened guidelines. It gave me a right to review, so I replied saying if the ad contravened something then it did at the time of placing the ad as well as days later. So I told them to naff off and launched a Paypal strike for fun using the same rationale.
I have had two unanswerable messages today telling me they could not collect further payments…..what for? They disabled the flipping advert! So, since there is not one to speak to and vehemently disliking all forms of AI chatbots, I researched how to permanently delete my account, and even though well hidden, took 60 seconds.
I apologise wholeheartedly to all my followers…….LOL
