Over the years, well before I became a coffee afficianado, I do not mind admitting I used to use Coffeemate and Birds Instant Mellow…….I know, terrible. I saw an ad on Ebay for Coffeemate and it took me right back in time! Does anything do it for you!

You aren’t alone. But, never had an opportunity to try this. However, we have had lots of instant coffee powders and pods. 🙂

My old mum loved coffeemate too.

I still have a very old bottle of Camp Coffee in my cupboard…I think I got it for a recipe that called for it many many moons ago.

A very odd tasting beverage as I remember………… Camp Coffee with Chicory I think it was, god knows why they added chicory, perhaps for that bitter earthy nutty flavour?

I lived in Amsterdam for a bit and wasn’t able to take my espresso setup. I did pourovers at home as there’s some incredible roasters there (and cafes, shout out to Coffee Company)

However…

I visited a Nespresso store there and got suckered in. Shamefully I must admit that although on flavour it’s fairly odd and not like any other form of coffee, I sometimes miss the ease and simplicity of just dropping a pod in the machine and the lack of counter space required. For how simple it is, it’s not the worst tasting thing.

Love it or hate it they do brand experience very very well. Every time I went to buy pods I felt like I was buying a luxury car.

My wife used to drink Nescafe with Coffee Mate.

I tried Coffee Mate once (15 years ago maybe?), found it disgusting.
