Beans with an orange taste

Can anyone recommend the above. I might be wrong but I would expect dark chocolate and possibly nuts to be in there as well. I will be using it for a V60 but it does not have to be decaf.

I’ve had the Crankhouse Ireme, I didn’t get anything in terms of orange from it, it’s not a coffee I’d recommend for filter.

I had some really noticeable orange from my old Rok but still trying to get that same clarity of flavour from any beans that say citrus on my Minima.

I am back on the orange hunt. I am always wary of buying beans around and beyond £13 per 250 gms. This is mainly because in the past, when I have bought beans of that ilk I have been hugely disappointed. Granted, this time I am taking brewed more seriously and I have the Evo but even so.

That said, it does not have to be orange but definitely ‘fruity’. Can you please recommend beans you have tried!

LMSC Looked a little darker than I normally would go for, but that may be due to the process, it wasn’t roasty, scored it 7.6/9 overall. A very flavourful cup.

(My pour overs to date average 7.4/9, so above average).

MWJB I don’t understand why the roasters wouldn’t make an effort to state where they think their roast is! Their take on the roast is what matters, IMO. Except some, even the suggestions are not taken kindly. 😊

I had a coffee from UE roasters about two years ago, which was a mandarin orange infused lot from Columbia. It was incredible, tasted of sweet orange peel. It’s a shame I’ve never come across it, or something similar ever since.

Redla Many thanks for the recommendation. I looked at it and two things stood out! It is best as filter and my brewed skills are renowned, but not for the right reasons (!) and secondly it is a light roasted bean. I still hope to find a medium (plus) roasted bean with orange first then dark chocolate second. I have tried a couple and whilst full f eastern promise, did not turn out to be Turkish Delight!

Well, after a few duff beans, I finally found the one I was looking for. it is from a Dutch roaster, previously mentioned on here. I bought three beans and received free postage for spending 50 or 60 Euros. These are well rested, The beans are very small, reminiscent of Peaberry in size. Very difficult to dial in. I have had to open the Zero right up and the pour still took 43 seconds. But, the taste is spot on for orange!
