Does anyone recommend a TDS water meter? I want to test the water out of my tap and if the zero water I have is actually zero TDS.

There’s quite a lot to choose from on Amazon.

whinmoor85 These are supposed to be the best but not sure how much they really differ from the knock offs, clones, and other models for half the price.

TDS isn’t a particularly useful measure of your water, but if you just want to track your zero jug is producing zero water I guess that makes sense. I thought you got a TDS meter with the jug though…

If you want to know what is actually in your water that can contribute to scaling you need a KH & GH titration test kit or fancy digital meter that measure hardness and alkalinity specifically (though not a digital meter for hardness exists).

I have a ZeroWater jug. Prior to buying one, I already had a TDS meter, and therefore could compare and check for accuracy.

I have to say, they both report the same thing. 😊

Also, on the ZeroWater tds meter, be careful about not hitting “hold” accidentally. I one day decided to test my meters against my tap water, and the ZeroWater one was reporting Zero… why? It was showing whatever it was on “hold”.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I’ll go with the tester @dfk41 linked to, looks like a clone of the one @Rob1 mentioned.
