I recently posted a question about one type of bean being more sensitive to the same grind adjustment than another. That’s the only time I’ve found that I have to make a “big” adjustment – going from one bag of beans to another. Sometimes I have to do this even if I get a new bag of the same bean as last time.
Having said that, about ⅓ of the time with a new bag of beans I can just use the grind settings that I was at with the previous bag, so this is not a hard and fast rule.
