skylark To each their own, but I find it hilarious how particular some can be. I home roast and seriously appreciate every gram of coffee I come into contact with. Knowing what goes into coffee from the tree to me handling it I waste as little as possible, as in making use of every bean, never purging a grinder after a setting change, etc. I’ve had lots of ‘bag ends’ of where I use a handful of this, a pinch of that, etc. to hit my green batch weight and that can sometimes involve 6-10 different coffees due to what I like to use, primarily blends. More often than not those batches will end up giving outstanding espresso and the only negative is never being able to duplicate it due to the circumstances.
