As per title, limited edition black Vesuvius for sale. This has been upgraded with African black wood water/steam/portafilter handles - originals will be included.
I’ve had this machine for three years. I’m the second owner however this machine has made less than 3,000 shots (as per image).
The Vesuvius is fantastic, a dual boiler pressure profiling machine that allows you to adjust temperature, pressure etc to experiment with and get the best out of whatever bean you prefer. It can also be programmed to turn on at preset times.
It’s only ever had filtered water, it’s been a workhorse and not caused me any problems at all. Water supply and drip tray can be plumbed in if wanted.
I’m only selling as I’ve bought a Decent pro.
Due to size (it’s a heavy machine!) collection only (Cambridgeshire).

How old is the machine?
You said it only had filtered water. Is that from a Brita filter? Or something more substantial?
Does it have stainless steel pipes or PTFE?
Over the 3 years you owned it, what maintenance did you do? Did you have to replace anything? Did you ever descale? How often do you backflush and clean the cam lever?
Do you still have the original packaging (boxes/crate) etc?

Grahamsphillips Afternoon, I too love the capabilities of the V.

I really enjoy the pressure profiling of the V, so much so I’d like to experiment with flow and temperature profiling on the decent.

Slightly smaller footprint too.

Yet to collect the decent, I’ll let you know how I get on.

It was initially with BWT filtered water, however for the last two years it has only had bottled Waitrose water.

PTFE.
Over the 3 years you owned it, what maintenance did you do? Did you have to replace anything? Did you ever descale? How often do you backflush and clean the cam lever?

Machine was descaled when I swapped from BWT to bottled water.

Backflushed every day, as well as shower screen removal for cleaning of group and shower screen.

Group head gaskets replaced every six months. At the same time the cam lever gets removed, cleaned and greased.

Last serviced by Espresso Care Solutions in March this year.

The only ‘issue’ I’ve ever had with it was a hissing from the steam boiler, this was simply a loose nut that needed ptfe tape and tightening back up.
Do you still have the original packaging (boxes/crate) etc?

I have the original box yes, however I don’t believe I have the crate any longer.

If that was in white I’d jump at it. Not sure I’d get a black machine approved in our kitchen sadly.

simonc unfortunately I’m not sure they ever made it in white.

It really is a fantastic machine though, I really enjoy the pressure profiling hence the next step to the decent.

Thanks Ian. Unfortunately it’s still in the car today. Realised when we got home I couldn’t get it to the house door as the scaffolders had blocked off the back gate 🫣🤭
