I wanted to return to this thread as I am having the exact same steam boiler issues as limelight with large 15-18 degree C swings in the steam boiler temperature before the heating element kicks in. I have a relatively new Elizabeth bought in 11/2021 (V3). I’m currently set to 93 C for brew boiler and 144 C for the steam boiler. I live in the US (so 120 V), have my machine on a smart timer (and the problem is happening soon after the machine heats up, even as the brew boiler is dropping from the initial overshoot on startup, the steam boiler is already starting a steady drop from 144 down to 127), and have input all the Dave Corby recommended advanced settings (and reconfirmed no errors, and confirmed standby mode is turned OFF). I’ve only used Crystal Geyser bottled water or distilled + Third Wave Water packets from the beginning. However, unlike limelight, I’ve done a few factory resets, and re-input the Dave Corby advanced settings, but the problem persists and that doesn’t seem to fix it for me. It seams now basically the steam boiler will not turn on the heating element until it drops below 127 C, then it will turn on quickly, heat up to 144, and then gradually drift back down until 127. If it is an interaction between the Bs and the derivative value, does anyone have any slightly modified Bs and KDs settings that might be tried to see if it operates a bit better? I’m sad to say it’s so frustrating now that I’m getting a lot of shot to shot inconsistency (because the steam boiler may be at wildly different tempratures, thus my pre-infusion is wildly different pressures based on the steam boiler temp, and subsequently I can’t get dialed in quite right). Please help!
