Hi, would love your opinions please

im looking for a lever machine as my next fork down the rabbit hole, currently have ECM synchronika aniversary.

first off i need to say i have no issues with it. basically its great for my needs but have had it a couple of years now and looking for something new to play with.

ive seen a few videos online about Nurri leva and seems to have everything i want which is basically to swap out the pump and group from the sync and replace it with a lever!!!

the nurri seems to do just that and has the dump paddle which i think i like. Originally have been looking at londinium until i saw the nurri video. I have no way to see any of these first hand (unless you can tell me different) so advice and videos is all i have to go on.

any comments would help me decide.

does anyone have any info as to where to purchase from. Im based near Derby.

    hi,

i saw you looking at the lr on the coffee forums,

theres lots of info around levers and also great debates to all out wars,

pick the one you like and have done with it

i would recomend the acs evo or vostok over the nurri, this is my personal opinion and ive been berrated enough over it,

the londiniums are very expensive for what you get unless buying used, its old tech so easy to fix, the support side is fine till you cross him,,,,then your black listed for life, i liked my l1 but found it limiting, and im regretting selling my evo a tad

Adrianmsmith If you don’t mind, what’s your grinder please? …Water?

Apart from a chance to play with a new toy, I wonder what else do you hope to achieve.

    Disclosure :

I have a lever - Evo. Before that, a few £100-£150 machines and mostly filter.

You want to sit and compare the Nurri to the Evo……they will share a lot of features (I wonder why?) then look at the price difference. The Evo you buy direct from ACS with a 2 year parts warranty. There are plenty of owners on here who will gladly share their experience. There are a couple of Nurri owners who will also tell you their machine is the best, as you would naturally expect. All you will really get on a forum, is owners endorsing their machines. Londinium I would forget. They are very old technology as Jake says. Yes, simple to fix but they are a one trick pony. By that I mean the only thing you can do is to vary the pre-infusion levels via an app. Ground breaking at the time but sadly things have not moved on making them look very jaded and dated.

Yes, I own and Evo and have owned several Londiniums and like Jake, I am also blacklisted by the owner, Reiss Gunsson for daring to bring to his attention problems I had with his machines back in 2013.

have a look at the profitec p800 if you like the brand and build,

in terms of levers there are:

      hx style

      dipper style

      dual boiler style

each one has its own merits, the nurri/evo have a heated group and are truly ready for brewing in 15mins, the rest usually need flushing or 30mins to get to temp,

the beauty of the new era leva like the nurri/evo is they can have the temps altered, more so on the evo, both have adjustable pre infusion the nuri has a knob on the back the evo is via a panel on the front.

they will be adding the vent function later in the year to the evo at an additional cost.

this forum is quite negative towards londinium as am i have had bad experiences with them, the machine itself is good enough just limited to what it does imo.

Cuprajake - For a home environment, I would stay away from the Pro-800 or any other dipper machine with a big boiler. It’s a dipper machine with a massive boiler. I have a friend who has a Quickmill Veloce (Or Rapida, can’t remember) and his main gripe with the machine is exactly that - the water sitting in the boiler for ages and not getting exchanged enough with its usage in a home environment (mind you, the boiler of the rapida/veloce (1.8L) are half the size of the Pro-800! (3.5L))

Not looking for “better coffee” as such just to broaden my hands on equipment experience without going backwards.
