Waitforme Many recipes for French press & Aeropress (also Clever/Switch) don’t suggest enough time to extract as fully as a typical drip extraction, but with dialling in they can all make pretty much equivalent drinks, just the timings change & the amount of non-dissolved solids in the cup (silt, which can affect clarity of flavour perception & bitterness if too high).
Pour over/drip is essentially the most brute force extraction method, taking a little less time for equivalent extraction levels & benefitting from more efficient filtration.
But note that many people don’t have an issue with the body/texture from less filtered brews and can be quite happy with lower side extractions from short immersion steeps (in fact for very short steeps I aim deliberately low as there is a region of high preference & low extraction that gives good results).
Pour over usually needs more focus & hands on attention to pouring & pour timing during the brew, but like I said all the methods can produce good cups. If you’re happy where you are with the flavour & workflow, there’s no pressing reason to change.
