After reading the sad Londinium thread, I thought I would post an unsolicited praise thread for the company I use in the USA. I bought my Elizabeth (such a great machine) from Clive Coffee about two years ago. Their website is terrific. Everything I have done with them has been so great. My first machine arrived beautifully packed, but was leaking. This is no fault of Clive. These big old espresso machines are heavy and do not take well to getting bashed around by the shippers. In any event, they took care of it right away, and sent out a new machine immediately before receiving the original machine back. Great customer service. Now, knowing what I know now, I would have simply taken it apart and fixed the leak.
Over the two years I have had a few simple problems. I had a leak from the steam boiler area, and called their tech support. They were certainly willing to service the machine with the 3 year warrantee, but I did not want to ship the machine back, so they walked me through the simple repair, and reassured me it would not affect the warrantee. I also had a small problem with the steam wand leak that is common to these machines. Their tech support team contacted me immediately and sent me the replacement part.
In short, this company gives top notch customer service. I would highly recommend them if you want to purchase a machine, or any other accessories. Usually online we see many rants about bad service, or other complaints. We expect excellent service, and often do not comment when we get it. So I thought I would just call out this terrific company. If I ever need to replace my Elizabeth, I will go through them again.
Niche apparently also has great service. But my machine has been so perfect over the 2 years that I have never needed them! Love my Niche Zero.
