What do you use for bean cooling?
I just acquired a SR800 with the Extension Tube. Is the internal bean cooling sufficient, or should I quickly dump the beans (once roasted) and rapidly cool down separately? Or cool it somewhat in the roaster and then cool it more separately.
I also worry that the glass will break if I grab it (with protective gloves) and dump the beans too soon. Is this a well founded or needless concern?
If separate, is it worthwhile purchasing the GeneCafe bean cooler? Does anyone have one? Do you like it? Why or why not?
Many moons ago I had a Behmor roaster. I dumped the beans into a colander and sat it in a box. I used a small shop vac to pump air through it. But it’s kind of clunky.
