So far, using oat milk and the blue attachment (for non dairy) its been a breeze to use.
The issue of being hard to clean, as reported by some reviewers, becomes a non issue so long as I rinse if immediately. One of the quirks that needs managing is that the base should remain dry when rinsing but that’s no biggie. A little splash won’t hurt it, but it shouldn’t be immersed.
I am currently filling to just below the max line, select ‘2’ and it automatically goes to work. Very easy, simple workflow. And genuinely hands free.
The milk is not the same as when I use the WPM steamer or a steam wand. I’m not sure how to describe the difference. Perhaps more aerated and not as dry? It may just be a bit too aerated so I’ll need to experiment or perhaps because it doesn’t use steam that’s just the way it is. Either way, its pretty darned good for the price point and the fact that it is hands free.
It takes a good two minutes to complete the job so I set it going, then go and grind, WDT and pour the espresso. The timing is pretty spot on in terms of finishing the espresso pour and the milk being ready.
I have a Morning Dream milk frother on pre-order which is expect June (so maybe September?) and I’ll keep playing with the Nanofoarmer Pro for a while. Once the MD arrives I’ll compare the three units (WPM, MD and Nanofoamer Pro) and keep one and move the other two on.
