A well done video. Mr Hoffman generally does good work and I like his more presentation style. However no new information for me (I’ve previously researched and read a fair amount on the topic), other than the statement that decaf stales faster than caf, with darker roasts staling faster than lighter roasts. I had always thought that decaf beans needed long (2 to 3 weeks) resting times, and so have bean resting my decaf beans for that time frame. Yet I have quite enjoyed beans right at that 1 week point where the sourness associated with off gassing fades away, and the coffee just tastes nicely fresh. So I might go back to consuming (or freezing multiple portions of the bag) right at 1 week. Hmmm.
