  • FS: Niche Zero, black, 2018, first batch, UK made, PX hand grinder

Hello all. It’s the time of the year, and I have once again realised I have coffee related utensils I am no longer using.

Since I bought the Duo, the good old trusty Zero had very little use, and it has since been used for a decaf grinder which I use once every two weeks, if that.

So I’m looking for £390, collected from nr. Newbury in Berkshire or Oxford. I’m also happy to travel 30 miles or so and meet up if that works.

I have the original box and all the packaging - exactly the way it was delivered. It also has a NFC (Niche Flow Control) disk, which were not part of the initial design.

As I still want to drink decaf, if someone has a good hand grinder they want to part exchange, I’d happily consider that too.

I can add more photos of burrs etc if people are interested. It’s in perfect, excellent condition.

I’ll keep on the bench until it is sold.

Spares springs in the base. Please note: as it’s an earlier model it does not come with a 10mm socket to unscrew the inner burr.

As I got the boxes and everything, I have decided to package it up.

Although I prefer collection so the buyer can be 100% sure they are happy with what they see, I can post it at buyers expense and risk.

Ok thanks. You provided a lot of detail but is there anything i should know before buying as am keen. Is it scratched….does it grind all the way through the range well? Am looking for a coffee machine grinder so want to ensure it grinds fine enough. Also just to check, have you dropped the price to 350?

    Nichol1974 - Hi Jason - as far as I can tell, there are no visible scratches, generally speaking. The only ones I can see (I’m not sure if they are scratches as they are still black!) are below the spout, potentially where the cup touches when putting it back on top of its wooden place holder. You can see on the 5th picture on my second post.

    The grinding seems fine to me - I can easily choke my espresso machine, and I’ve been using a variety of different coffees going from approx. setting 10 to setting 20 - for the coffees I drink - so that’s the operational range, if you like.

    And yes, I have reduced it to £350, collected. You are more than welcome to see it for yourself before going ahead with the purchase.

        Good stuff, I was hoping this would sell sooner rather than later, otherwise I’d have to justify another coffee purchase to the wife….

          Yes. It was sold. And the Spanish advert says it was bought in 2023… and only used with decaf beans! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🍾 - joys of the internet.

              Or someone was silly enough to reuse a photo of a grinder identical to the one they are selling…unlikely of course, but some people are stupid.
