I have both a Pullman 876 and a VST (same volume capacity). I am under the impression the same factory in China makes them both.
They look and feel similar, but they have subtle differences in form (VST is more curved at the bottom whereas the Pullman is very straight, based on how the puck looks like after knocking) and their number of holes of course. I want to believe the hole anatomy is the same but I don’t have a microscope (yet) to confirm this.
I find the VST is the better basket for me. I find the end result more balanced, with better body and pucks knock out cleanly. Although their capacity is the same the VST can take more coffee resulting in thicker pucks. For me, the Pullman is better suited for anything lighter than medium dark and I use it for its cleaner taste with a spouted portafilter and fast flow shots.
