Forum Meet up

As you may all know (or not) I live fairly near Weybridge in Surrey (it’s the closest station to me and we can probably arrange pickups to save a Taxi). I was thinking of hosting a meet up, coffee machines and a few laughs. We might be able to do something in the new year. I actually have plenty of coffee machines, so no one has to bring any, unless you want to bring something small interesting and manual…or just want to bring something…I won’t have a working lever machine though 😢

For people coming any real distance, assuming it’s worth travelling for, I can probably put up 3 or 4 people for the night (the 4th will have to bring a sleeping bag and use a floor).

Is there any interest for an event like this? If so, add your name to the list.

I think it’s an excellent idea. Unfortunately, some health issues mean it’s unlikely I can make it. I’m going to be green with envy when you all get together …. unless I get suitably roasted. ;)

Hotmetal Of course you’re invited, every forum member is, and old friends especially welcome. I remember when @ronsil came down to the meet. I don’t think I properly appreciated how far he had to travel, but was so pleased to have met him.

I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, a bit of a journey for me. But my daughter will be giving birth to our sixth grandchild in Edinburgh sometime in June, so who knows! What’s another seven hours!

Depending on the date, I’d like to come along. I enjoyed meet-ups of various kinds organised through the other place (Small Batch roastery and coffee crawl of Brighton, Has Bean roastery tour, the events at Rave that coffeechap organised). Thank you for suggesting it @DavecUK

Definitely but up for this. I could bring either a Decent or even the Levercraft Ultra grinder, as mine fortunately arrived before Eric had the supply issue with regards parts. Not sure what Plan we’d be working under by then though or what letter of the Greek alphabet we’ll be up to !
