I didn’t have great experiences with mine so got rid of it. It made what I can only describe as hot water with a hint of sweetness. Very little if any coffee flavours. I played with all the settings but nothing worked. Might be a temperature issue (even on max, not sure it gets much above 90 by the time the water is exiting the shower) or an agitation one (the shower is very gentle, even at max flow). This was on light, filter roasts (Colona, Square Mile). Never tried it with anything darker. I might have had a faulty unit. It’s a big machine and I couldn’t justify its space on my counter so it had to go. Don’t miss it.

Haven’t had any problem with mine, or the other three that we have in the company, all with daily use. No problems with the temperature or the agitation on any of the ones we are using but there can always be dud units and 4 units isn’t a big sample size

The moccamaster doesn’t have an easily removable tank either but if you only fill up the water tank when you are about to use it the tank doesn’t really get all that dirty, maybe a fortnightly deep clean

Yeah I just wipe the Moccamaster reservoir out weekly with a clean wet cloth. You only fill it with the amount you’re brewing so it’s dry whenever not in use providing you leave the lid slightly ajar after use as per the instructions.

After much deliberation, I decided to buy the Technivorm One Cup over the Sage. The main reason for this was the One Cup is designed to do exactly that. If I had wanted a larger brewer then the Sage would have won. Having decided to buy one I found Google to be an absolute nightmare. All it now does is push paid adverts from firms that you have never ever heard of. I do not like buying from firms that I have never heard of! It did however bring up a 10 cup version at BB for £150 which is a bargain. So I contacted Claudette to ask if they had any One Cups to find she had 3 but had forgotten to make the link live! They are reduced to £165 which is a lot less than £214 that most firms want. Only in the off white/cream colour but that matters not! Only two left now folks!

I lived in the Netherlands for a while and heard of Technivorm/Moccamaster from a few local friends who had them. Brilliant company and as I mentioned before, a lot of the machines are very easily serviceable with affordable replacement parts.

Also see them quite regularly in coffee shops on small batch brew duty which is encouraging!
