With the warmer weather🤔 don’t forget to back off thermostatic radiator valves.
If left on winter setting they can become stuck in position and not work well next winter.

Elcarajillo - thanks. So should they be fully shut or fully open? Mine go from “cold” to “hot”, presumably that means fully shut and fully open respectively. Thanks.

Tbf no point in changing them as they are thermostatic and will not come on if it is warm.

Teaboy Not quite true, they are on until the radiator gets hot…I know this from one annoying rad I have which heats whenever the hot water comes on. It’s next to my bed in the already hot loft room.

I always forget to turn it right down in summer…as I have this summer.

DavecUK You must have different or faulty valves. Mine never come on when room temperature is higher than the set temperature ???

DavecUK have the trv on the inlet and the rads will not come on, well they shouldn’t anyway.

Teaboy In winter I need full flow to keep the room warm (microbore) as I try and run a boiler flow temp of 65C for economy. So it would come on in most temps…it goes off pretty quick, but it the room is hot, it’s not pleasant. Tonight I must remember to turn it down.

Nice thought, but now, the plumbers mate was a lazy asshole and the radiator shouldn’t have been in the fecking hot water circuit to heat up…only the towel rads should have been.
