Sorry your experience has been so different than mine. I’ve met many friendly, helpful folks there, in fact Dave and Jake among them, which is how I found this forum. However, I’ve also met some snide, nasty folks as well. It’s the largest English-language coffee site on the Internet, so the population will have a wide distribution of attributes. Note wide distribution.
My experience with Team H-B members has generally been good, with one notable exception. Dave knows who I am referring to.
When seeking opinions or advice there, it is better to do some homework about who’s opinions have value, also how I met Dave and Jake, who always made informed, positive contributions to any thread they participated in.
There are a large number of such people there, although some have passed on or left. Often as with Prof Pavlis, their contributions have continuing value, long after their original posting date. Among current members Jim Schulman, Jake_G, Malling, Jaroslav, and others are generally thoughtful and highly-informed.
BTW, you can always PM folks there, which I do whenever I am seeking a single source of informed opinion and expertise, and have no desire for less-informed comments.
Dr Gary is a nice fellow, who knows this machine well, and he is likely to answer all of the OP’s questions, and that was the point of my previous post.
