New member here just found this forum , I have had a bean to cup Gaggia for many years because it was quick and easy to make coffee before work but after retirement after a bit of research I decided to get a Sage Bambino + and smart grinder as I always wanted to get a better coffee and now I had time , I went for the Sage for ease of use for a 71 year old man, well to start with it was fine after experimenting to get the taste good , I decided to get a bottomless portafilter so I could see what was going on and an adjustable tamper , a funnel , scales, and some puck screens.
Two months down the road the Bambino went into cleaning mode ( IE flashing lights ) and that’s where it stayed even after cleaning multiple times and a factory reset guided by Sage so they agreed to replace it , then another email saying they hadn’t got a replacement please contact retailer, long & short no one had a replacement and sage said they didn’t know when they would so Clumsy goat coffee said they would refund me but as I had purchased both as an offer I had to send both back , this I have just done but rather than a full refund I decided to get what I should have in the first place a Gaggia Classic evo pro 2024 that hopefully is coming Monday, I have got a DF54 from Bella Barrista and this morning received portafilter tamper and other bits , what annoyed me most is not the fact that the machine went wrong or even that they hadn’t got a replacement it’s all the extra bits I purchased that are now US because they are 54mm and the Gaggia is 58mm
