I get very little static on the espresso grinds and use no RDT for that. No, the static that goes all over the counter is when I grind 40 gm of medium roast coffee. In our area I am using some Sunshine roasters coffee, which is a local coffee roaster. This is not artisan coffee, just some local medium roast for our daily drip. For espresso I use coffee from Trade Coffee subscription, which is freshly roasted and comes from all over the country in the USA. Always fun. I have a taste for medium to dark roast for the espresso, which I use in milk drinks such as flat white or latte. Now, my Niche is quite new, and perhaps with enough grinding the static will go down, but honestly, it was hard to believe how much got all over the grinder and the counter! I’m glad my wife didn’t see it, because she was not pleased I bought the grinder in the first place!!
