CarloScarito In the Dalian there is a plug in relay (Omron I think) under the front panel, if this isn’t working the heating element won’t switch on, so you might suspect that. Or a wire could have come loose from the back of the left hand temp controller…or…or
Short of going through a litany of guesses to mislead you, can you tell me more about the machine and any mods you have made, plus have you read my review of the machine.
To test the heating element specifically remove the right hand side panel, disconnect the power wires to the heating element (after checking they aren’t the problem) and then use a multimeter in ohms mode (be in the 0 to 200 ohms scale) to check it’s resistance. You can calculate what the correct resistance should be by using ohms law.
The heating element has a very low watts per metre and only glows cherry red, so it’s probably fine…otherwise it’s an expensive part that you would only be able to source from China now, unless BB import one for you. That said, I purchased one of the last they had in stock, in case mine ever went.
