At machine startup, the pump is running non stop, and I have no idea if this is normal. I guess not, I feel like air is preventing it to push water where it should… I always wake up the machine with a wifi power outlet in the morning, I have no idea for how long it runned before to compare. @"Buz_Light"#p5912 - do you have a video? That would help. When you say non stop… what’s running? The pump?Water through the group? Is water going anywhere? Is the machine cold? Is it hot? Does the machine work? When does it stop? Can you actually brew a coffee? Is there water going from the tank into the pump? Are any of the hoses bent or kinked? We need more details, and a video would help immensely.

@"Buz_Light"#p5938 - Saw your video. My vote is that you must have plugged the wrong tube somewhere. Can you show us the internals of where all the hoses are going?

I watched your video, but you kept moving away from the guage. Make another, plonk the camera facing the gauge and the group….then don't move it. I want to see the gauge and the group all the time. I don't care about seeing anything else at this time. I can always ask you if anything is going into the drip tray (I trust you). * Do a shot with no blind filter, let the pump run for 40s * Do a shot with a blind filter let it run for 40s * Run some water from the hot tap and initiate an autofill…does it stop pumping. This will indicate whether the problem is likely downstream of the autofill solenoid, before it, or perhaps the pump has failed, or has a blockage in the inlet. If the machine is trying to autofill the boiler…let it for 40s (unless the steam pressure starts going above 3 bar, or water comes out the bottom). and don't move the camera so I can see the gauge

@"DavecUK"#p5964 - One strange - for me at least - thing with that video was that, after running the pump for ages, the user puts the lever down. The pump stops briefly, and then starts up again (with the lever all the way down) and you can see the pressure gauge moving above 3 bar. Almost as it's filling the service boiler. Very strange.

Nah, your good, I think the pump is nadgered…tell the retailer you believe it’s broken of course, as he might not understand the highly technical term I am using.

DavecUK Definitely fit the pump yourself, it’s very easy and will ensure you don’t get the machine damaged, because in every other respect the machine seems to be working really well.

Buz_Light - if you need to replace the pump - Lelit Insider has a video showing how to do it.

They also have a video showing how to take the pump apart for cleaning, as apparently this can stop the pump from working properly. Not sure if I would want to go down that route for a machine under warranty, but might be good to know about this as well.

Hi, sorry to bump this thread up but I was running into the exact same issue. It started a few days/weeks after changing the filter for the 70L one.

Symptoms were very low pump flow and pressure (max 1.5 bar).

After looking it up online it seems like a pretty frequent issue, with no definitive resolution…

The procedure in the video linked above solved it for me! Thanks for bringing it up. Saved me the purchase of a new pump that I was about to do…

I actually think it’s great Lelit do all these videos. I wish more manufacturers would do the same. It would give them a different perspective on repair and hence design.

DavecUK - perhaps Buz_Light issue (possibly with the pump) should be cut and moved to a separate thread as it is not really relevant to the OPV mod and might have been too much of a derail?

Just wanted to give an update on my MaxaX.
As I was getting ready to send it in for repair, I had to follow a procedure to empty it of water completely. I’m in Quebec and shipping a water filled machine overnight at -30°C can be tricky.
After emptying the machine, I decided to give it one last chance, filled it again like it was new, and SURPRISE, got a blind filter shot at 9 bar just like I used too.
Don’t know what happened, but I’m very happy my machine is back to life (and that I get to brew from it for the next month instead of waiting for it to come back from repair…).
Already rerouted the OPV discharge, everything working fine. Cheers!

Buz_Light Must have been a bit of crud, probably caught in the pump….glad it’s working again.
