dfk41 Difficult to say for several reasons…
Your water company is more likely to quote TDS as electrical conductivity, rather than ppm.
You can have water that will definitely scale at 150ppm TDS and water that is much less likely to scale at 140ppm TDS.
Water that is very soft is more likely to cause corrosion, this can have a deceptively high TDS, like 100ppm or maybe more.
The indicators of scaling potential are total hardness, alkalinity and pH, rather than TDS (…which includes anything else in the water that may have no impact on scaling).
