Have one of each, and stock. They get mixed up all the time and I can’t really tell a blind bit of difference. Maybe a second or 2 in the pour but my taste buds can’t tell

I read reviews that VST are more temperamental than IMS and VST are also more expensive so it was a no brainer for me. Although I now use a Pullman basket.

We probably are, I started to get pucks sticking to the shower screen with my IMS basket which was the only reason for buying the Pullman which has cured the issue. Could I tell a difference in taste, definitely not.

Baskets can and do make a difference, i dont have time to type out a long answer,

    I prefer ims

I prefer VST. I tend to have to grind finer with VST baskets, which seems to give a better texture to my shots. I’ve tried a few different IMS baskets - most have given good shots but I always find myself going back to VST. I also find that the shear number of IMS variants is a little confusing. VST has a much simpler and intuitive system.

I’ve been using a Vst For about 3 years now. I have to grind pretty fine - most coffees at about 5-7 on my T-64 grinder.

I freeze a lot of my coffee and starting to wonder if that’s part of why all my it all tends to be ground around the 5 mark on my grinder….

MMight get the ACS stock basket back out again and see what difference it makes
