Protecting the cup warmer

I just wondered what materials folks used to put on the cup warming area? I used to use like a black mesh material but the trouble was as the cup warmer heated up it used to stick to the top! I had thought about just cutting up a towel then I found a spare one of these which I can cut down…….unless anyone has a better suggestion

Gripmat seems to work well for me. B&M do it on rolls of black, white or grey

I like the scratched look, but you could probably buy helitape to cover it

Yep, no protection for me, mine is covered in little marks and surfaces scratches.
