Just an update on z1. Itās been good but not the most consistent.
The pre-breaker / auger doesnāt do much in my opinion.
The biggest difference is slow feeding the beans. This will give you the biggest difference in shot time and flavour due to the fines. I donāt like the inconsistency due to slow feeding is always going to be different and generate a different amount of fines all the time. Am using the SSP HU blind burrs.
When I had the Niche Duo I didnāt worry about slow feeding because you couldnāt do it and am guessing generated the same amount of fines all the time.
So from a workflow point of view I would have thought the auger / pre-breaker would do its job and slow feed the beans on its own but doesnāt do much. You have to slow feed manually. But I suppose I could just dump the beans in each time.
