I wanted to document my visit today to Bella Barista. I’d never been but had bought a few machines/grinders always getting them delivered.

I’ve bought a new machine and decided to go there to pick it up. I advised I was there to collect my new machine and I was immediately made a coffee by the staff there who also brought the machine from the stores out the back. The staff then made Marco aware that I was there and then began 45 fascinating minutes of his time. We looked at the Mechanika Max which is what I’ve bought and he’s really enthusiastic about them too. Then we toured the showroom looking at all other makes and him advising of pros and cons of all of them. He then took me on a guided tour of the roastery showing me their current beans and even showed me the greens that were being roasted at that moment, all the time listening to my comments and preferences. He hand picked me several bags he thought I’d like and gave them to me. We then talked about accessories and looked at loads of them. Not at any time did he try to sell me anything. I did buy something and he gave me discount. I just thought the whole experience was fantastic and I learned a lot about all of the above.

Marco was brilliant and you know he didn’t have give me that time but did and I’ll always remember that when I come to buying more gear. Thanks Marco you were brilliant.

Uncletits I have been once as well, years ago. I was passing by but I know Claudette well! In those days Marco ran the other side of the business which is now closed, where they made catering trailers and the like. This means that the showroom will be a lot larger, in fact the roastery was not even a twinkle in their eye at that point!

Yep this is very similar to my experience, brilliant company.

I’ve bought 4 or 5 machines from them and my most recent one (the Linea Mini) I went to collect although that was about 3 years ago now. Even talked me out of a GS3 which was good of them given the additional cost.

Coffee offered on arrival (and just before leaving), helped with the machine into my car despite being parked a fair walk away.

They’re always super helpful via web/email too.

They’re local to me but I only fairly recently visited for the first time, I’ve not purchased any equipment but I’m really enjoying trying their beans. The bonus is that you can set up an account for 10% off and you get a free coffee when you buy a kg. It feels ridiculously good value when you get a kg for less than £25 and a free coffee that would cost at least £4 in a cafe.
