It’s a cheap plastic tamper, not sure what you’re expecting 😄 I would either buy a decent 58.4mm tamper (Motta competition for example) or go for the bravo before the machine arrives.

I picked up this tamper as a stop gap and It's pretty good value to be honest

Cuprajake Yeah they are, just out of stock. I messaged to ask when stock is coming back to cover all bases.

Looking at the specs of this machine, I'm assuming it will not work here in the Philippines (I retired in the US and move here in 2015). Philippines uses 220/230v however it's 60hz (not 50 Hz).

Cant seem to reply to a specific message. I don't know if ACS wants their prices published, However I will say I ordered an all black Minima with full wood kit and extra bottomless portafilter for less than the local US supplier that offered only standard machines. I don't mind the part warranty due to the fact I won't mess with shipping the machine across the country for repair. I am handy enough to swap components IF some thing would go awry.

Gtbarringer Thank you for replying, I got an email from Paolo this morning with the costs and with the import duties (bl00dy Brexit) it's just under the advertised UK price. The full wood kit was something I completely forgot about to be fair as that is also something I'd be interested in on the stainless model, which is a benefit of going direct I guess as they allow customisation.

dutchy101 Stainless got the thumbs up internally so that's my plan. Think the only other acceptable colour in the kitchen would've been cream to go with the kettle and toaster haha.

I did like the black too, but was vetoed.

Looks like mine will ship sometime this week.

Haha - cool, was just going to mention to have a think about what drip tray you'd want if you were ordering it in black as I think Black Cat typically get a stainless tray in for the black model. I wanted a black drip tray and fortunately ACS had delivered the last batch with black trays by mistake. I got the last one. If you did want it in black and with a black drip tray, I'd have recommended asking about this so it can be shipped with a black tray when ACS send their next batch.

Oh yeah, it's worth trying, but I was a little annoyed with myself for missing out on a Nomcore that I could have had the week before with next day delivery. I really wanted to get using the machine properly asap and couldn't really do that with the plastic tamper. Nomcore is coming on Friday, but quite happy with the tamper I've got for the mean-time.

dutchy101 I have looked at the normcore again. I don't like the shape of the handle, but is that worth spending 2x as much on a Bravo? Need to have a serious think, quickly.

Ultimately if I can't decide then I'll do what you've done and get something v cheap but better than plastic.
