Hi everyone! I’m in a bit of a conundrum. I currently have a Lelit Victoria with the standard portafilter. It’s plastic and I’d like to get something matching with my other accessories, i.e. my wooden tamper and steam knob. In my view I have a few options * buy a bottomless portafilter, PLA580W. I worry that it’s too dark * Buy the PLA580Z. The zebrano wood seemed a bit too light (in terms of shade in comparison to my tamper) so I returned it, but could buy it again. It might darken a year or so down the line, but not certain. * Buy a wooden handle and replace my current plastic one. It’s a bit of a pain to unscrew it because of the heavy thread lock glue usage. My research shows that it’s M12 (found the part number to be MC099 or 2200027). Managed to open it partially, as per the last photo, and now I’m stuck (well, the thread is). Any insight from somebody who’s done this? I know about the heating and the vice. I found the thread size for the Lelit 58mm portafilter, M12. The 57mm ones have the M10

La Marzocco handles are M12 and do a walnut one quite similar to your tamper. Specht might do one also.

It’ll have the LM wordmark engraved on the side but it’s quite subtle.

As a disclaimer I haven’t actually tried them on Lelit but I assume the thread pitch is the same.

I wanted a Lelit portafilter, I didn’t have the best experience with a 57mm version copy in the past that was leaking although I had a new gasket.

Anyway, I didn’t find anything better and went back to Amazon and bought the zebrano handle. Hoping it will darken in time.
