The “Zero bypass” concept doesn’t yet seem to have been satisfactorily tested, nor the “potential increase in extraction”.
It looks like an attempt to jump on the Tricolate (funny how everyone stopped talking about that)/Pulsar/Hoop bandwagon.
I don’t like brewers with flat disc filter papers as it makes clean up more laborious, compared to the grounds mess free, lifting out a V cone/Melitta/Wave filter & flushing the brewer with a little hot water.
Proprietary filter made by Sibarist looks inconvenient. As does a specific/limited carafe options.
If you don’t already have a manual brew method and want a steep learning curve, with little tangible support, this might be just the thing for you. It’s not for me.
More contact time does not equal more sweetness, nor reduced over-extraction.
